On March 25, 2025 as per Council direction the Planning Advisory Committee, Waste Resource Innovation Centre Public Liaison Committee, Water Conservation and Efficiency Public Advisory Committee and the Natural Heritage Advisory Committee were merged into the Planning, Environment and Water Advisory Committee.

About the committee

Community members are invited to attend the upcoming Waste Resource Innovation Centre (WRIC) Public Liaison Committee meeting. This committee was formerly known as the Organic Waste Processing Facility Committee. The scope of this committee has grown to now include the review and exchange of information about the operations of all the facilities at the Waste Resource Innovation Centre.

About the Committee

The Water Conservation and Efficiency Public Advisory Committee (WCEPAC) is a volunteer Council-appointed committee that provides ongoing feedback and advice to City Staff and Council on key aspects of implementation of the 2016 Water Conservation and Efficiency Strategy Update.

The WCEPAC provides recommendations to City Staff and Council on the following:

• Issues and opportunities to be addressed in the implementation of the 2016 Water Conservation and Efficiency Strategy Update;
• Alternative solutions;
• Design considerations;
• Community consultation and communication plans;
• Other relevant matters that City staff refer to the Public Advisory Committee for feedback.

WCEPAC meetings are open to the general public, who are welcome to attend and participate.
