Location

40 Golfview Road, Guelph, ON N1E 1A6, at Golfview Park

About the garden

Golfview Garden Guild is a local collective created to foster community engagement, learning, and connection through the shared act of growing food. The garden will feature native wildflowers, fruit shrubs, and a total of 13 individual garden plots (8 large and 5 small) available to rent.

As part of our garden community, members are encouraged to:

  • Participate in weeding, watering, and general garden maintenance
  • Engage with fellow gardeners and community members
  • Share knowledge, food, tools, and moments of fellowship
  • Enjoy and care for the outdoor space we’ve created together
  • Respect the area to ensure that this shared space remains a welcoming, family-friendly park for all community members to enjoy

Plot rentals

Garden plots are available for rent from the beginning of May to the end of October each year. Large plots are ~2.5 x 4 meters and small plots are ~1.25 x 2 meters. These plots are available to rent for a nominal fee, which helps support the ongoing maintenance and growth of the garden initiative. All funds collected go directly back into the garden.

No plot? No problem!

This project is about cultivating relationships. You don’t need to rent a plot to be part of our garden community. There are plenty of ways to dig in, connect, and grow alongside us. Feel free to reach out to become part of our community!

Join us early in the season to help with planting, or for regular garden days where we weed, water, mulch, and maintain the shared spaces. It’s a great way to get your hands in the soil and meet your neighbours. Drop by for community events or spontaneous garden gatherings. Whether we’re sharing a harvest snack or chatting while we work, this garden is as much about people as it is about plants.
