Clair Road Emergency Services Centre Pollinator Meadow

Location

160 Clair Rd West, at the Clair Road Emergency Services Centre.

About the habitat project

  • This pollinator habitat meadow was created in partnership with Pollination Guelph, and with funding from TD Friends of the Environment, Guelph Community Foundation and the RBC Blue Water Project.
  • Pollination Guelph, with the support of the City of Guelph’s Healthy Landscape program, replaced the existing turf that was struggling to survive with a habitat meadow aimed at attracting pollinating insects and birds.
  • This space features native and drought-tolerant plants suitable for both residential gardens and commercial sites.
  • City staff, Pollination Guelph and volunteers maintain the garden.

Get involved

This meadow provides an example of a beautiful low maintenance landscape that provides habitat for wildlife and is intended to inspire residents to create similar habitat at home. Come check it out and get inspired!

Volunteers are always welcome to help with garden maintenance, to volunteer contact [email protected].
