About the garden
- This public pollinator demonstration garden was created in partnership with Pollination Guelph, and with funding from TD Friends of the Environment, Guelph Community Foundation and the RBC Blue Water Project.
- Pollination Guelph, with the support of the City of Guelph’s Healthy Landscape program, replaced the existing turf that was struggling to survive with a habitat garden aimed at attracting pollinating insects and birds.
- The professionally designed garden features native and drought-tolerant plants suitable for both residential gardens and commercial sites.
- City staff, Pollination Guelph and volunteers maintain the garden.
This garden was designed to provide an example of a beautiful low maintenance landscape that also provides habitat for wildlife and to inspire residents to create similar habitat gardens at home. Come check it out and get inspired!
Volunteers are always welcome to help with garden maintenance, to volunteer contact [email protected].
