About the garden

Sometimes called a “community orchard” a food forest is a mixture of fruit trees and shrubs maintained by a group of volunteers. This community project includes a mix of perennial plants – fruit trees, berry bushes, herbs, pollinator plants, and more – tended to by a collective of people who live in the area. Anyone is welcome to be involved in caring for this space.

It is a new project installed in 2023, so it will take a few years before it produces a lot of fruit. Once it becomes productive the plan is to share the fruit produced among the collective members, or with anyone in our community who could use some fresh produce.
