St. George’s Park Community Garden

Location

Located in St. George’s Park in the green space north of the tennis courts, near the corner of Palmer Street and Metcalfe Street.

About the garden

  • A sunny space to grow vegetables, flowers or herbs
  • Water provided
  • Garden area fenced
  • Pollinator flower beds
  • Composting area
  • Shared tool storage
  • There are a total of 30 individual plots located at ground level available for rent
  • 27 standard sized individual plots are approximately 4 x 12 feet (1.2 x 3.6 metres)
  • 3 larger sized individual plots are approximately 80 – 100 square feet (7.4 – 9.3 square metres
  • Communal areas for growing fruit, perennial vegetables, herbs and cutting flowers to share among our garden members and volunteers
  • The garden is operated and maintained by the volunteer Garden Committee, Garden Members and Community Volunteers.
  • Our community garden is affiliated with the St. George’s Park Neighbourhood Group.

Rent a plot or get involved

In the spring, individual plots are available for rent on a first come first served basis.  You can rent an individual plot for a reasonable fee for the season. Volunteers are always welcome. Please email [email protected].
