The Enabling Garden

Location

709 Woolwich Street, in Riverside Park.

About the garden

  • The Guelph Enabling Garden is a fully accessible multi-use garden designed for everyone; for children, the elderly, and families of all types, but especially for those community members with varying degrees of physical and cognitive abilities.
  • The garden contains plants that provide many benefits to people and wildlife.
  • It is administered by a non-for-profit organization with the help of many volunteers.
  • Horizontal therapy programming and other events are held throughout the year.

Buy-a-Brick campaign

Throughout the garden, engraved bricks line the pathways as a concrete reminder of the people who help make the garden thrive. These beautiful bricks are personalized with messages in honour of a loved one, to commemorate achievements, to profile local businesses, or to mark a special day. It is through these bricks that the Guelph Enabling Garden helps raise the necessary funds to ensure programming remains free and accessible for all as well as to help expand the garden for the future. To purchase a brick, or learn more about how you can support the garden visit enablinggarden.org/donating.
