About this project
The City is looking to develop and build new facilities to support Guelph Transit and Fleet Services over the next 25 plus years so they work efficiently and effectively and satisfy service delivery requirements for a growing city.
The proposed Guelph Transit and Fleet Services facility will store, charge and maintain the City’s electric buses and other fleet vehicles. The facility will meet or exceed current building standards, will strive towards Zero Carbon Building Design standards, and will reduce energy consumption and expenses, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
Building from the vision of the Guelph Innovation District Secondary Plan, the new developments in this area will protect, maintain, and enhance the valuable natural and cultural heritage resources surrounding the facility and feature sustainable buildings and infrastructure, in support of the City’s strategic plan.
The scope for the project has been revised to complete the required background technical studies; develop a site plan based on this work, obtain site plan approval; and a detailed facility design.
