About this project
The City of Guelph and County of Wellington are working together to repair the bridge on Victoria Road North, known as the Monkey Bridge. This work will repair aging infrastructure and make it easier to get around. Repair work along Victoria Road North will include:
- Structural repairs on the Monkey Bridge;
- Road paving and the addition of bike lanes between Goldenview Drive and the Monkey Bridge; and,
- Culvert replacement south of the Monkey Bridge.
Construction timeline
- Design work – completed
- Tender – completed
- Construction: June 2025 to Fall 2025
