This project is being removed from the City’s Tier 1 portfolio as during the 2025 budget update, the Guelph Central Station terminal building was removed from the 10-year capital forecast. This project was previously budgeted to begin construction in 2028, but through the 2025 budget update process, it was moved beyond the 10-year capital forecast as part of the City’s efforts to balance affordability constraints with the need to maintain high-priority investments in housing, critical infrastructure upgrades, and other programs and services that contribute to community well-being. The City is exploring options to ensure users of Guelph Central platform have access to necessary facilities and updates will be shared as they become available.
