Get your OnYourWay fare card

COVID-19 updates

We’re waiving the $5 OnYourWay fare card fee until further notice.

Buy an OnYourWay reloadable fare card from a City facility or authorize retailer. When you get your card at a City facility or retailer, you must make a transaction (e.g. purchase rides/monthly pass or add a dollar value to the card). We do not hand out cards with no value on them.

Where to buy your OnYourWay fare card

Note: If you are eligible for a Reduced fare card (youth, senior, post-secondary or Affordable Bus Pass), the first card must be obtained at ServiceGuelph or the Guelph Transit administration office. Tell customer service staff what card you need to ensure you receive the correct fare category.

Alternatively, you can pick-up a blank card with no dollar value on it at a designated retailer (refer to chart). Once you get the card, have ready the following:

  • Your name
  • Type of card you’re needing to activate (youth, senior, post-secondary, Affordable Bus Pass)
  • Your proof of eligibility

And access the Eligibility link below to upload your eligibility documents.  Follow the steps. Once your documents have been verified you will be notified from [email protected] with next steps for account activation.

Reduced transit fare eligibility form

Only Adult OnYourWay fare cards can be purchased at authorized retailers, Guelph Public Library branches and the Guelph Museum. However, Adult and Reduced fare cards can be reloaded at any City facility or select retailer.

  • Reduced: Available to those who show proof of eligibility for reduced fares such as youth (5–18 years; youth pass expires on December 31 of 18th year), senior (65+ years), and other special transit fare programs (e.g. Affordable Bus Pass).
