Welcome to the 2022 and 2023 budget
The current multi-year budget runs from the beginning of 2022 to the end of 2023.
The 2022 and 2023 budgets were approved by City Council on December 2, 2021.
Though the budget has been approved, we review, update and confirm final numbers for each year in the plan.
The 2023 budget was confirmed by City Council on January 25, 2023.

Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) presented a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award to Corporation of the City of Guelph, Ontario, for its Multi-Year Budget for the biennium beginning January 1, 2022.
In order to receive this award, a governmental unit must publish a budget document that meets program criteria as a policy document, a financial plan, an operations guide and as a communications device.
This award is valid for a period of two years and reflects the commitment of the City to meeting the highest principles of government budgeting.
