About the project
The City of Guelph completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study (Schedule ‘B’) for improvements to Gordon Street between Edinburgh Road and Lowes Road.
Through consultation with the community, the study identified and assessed improvements to accommodate future planning and intensification along Gordon Street. Gordon Street improvements will be designed with consideration to all users including vehicular traffic, turning at intersections, transit operations, and facilities for pedestrians and cyclists.
Detailed design for the reconstruction of Gordon Street will begin in 2021, with construction estimated to begin in 2023.
