About the project
The City of Guelph completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) study (Schedule ‘B’) for improvements to Gordon Street between Edinburgh Road and Lowes Road.
Through consultation with the community, the study identified and assessed improvements to accommodate future planning and intensification along Gordon Street. Gordon Street improvements will be designed with consideration to all users including vehicular traffic, turning at intersections, transit operations, and facilities for pedestrians and cyclists. In addition to the works proposed in the EA the design and construction of a new storm sewer will be completed as part of this project.
Detailed design for Gordon Street will begin in 2023/2024, with construction estimated to begin in 2025.
