Ice rental locations
The City of Guelph has arenas at the following recreation facilities:
- Centennial Arena
- Exhibition Arena
- Victoria Road Recreation Centre Arena
- West End Community Centre Arenas 1 and 2
- Sleeman Centre
Important dates
The fall/winter 2024-25 ice rental season runs from September 2024-March 2025.
New requests for this season are now being accepted.

Ice Booking Information Package
Prime time versus non-prime time
Arenas can be booked for the following time slots:
- Non-prime time: Monday-Friday (8 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Prime time: Monday-Friday (6-8 a.m. and 4-11 p.m.); Saturday and Sunday (6 a.m.-11 p.m.)
Single skater / last minute ice
- Up to maximum of 4 people.
- Single skater ice is only available at West End Community Centre and Victoria Road Recreation Centre arenas during non-prime time hours (Monday-Friday 8 a.m.-4 p.m.)
- Single skater requests will be accepted on Mondays between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. for the immediate week. during regular business hours Monday-Friday.
Rates and fees
Hourly resident fees (Guelph address) rate associated with renting arenas are outlined below (*please note that there is a surcharge for non-residents and commercial organizations):
Centennial Arena, Exhibition Arena, Victoria Road Recreation Centre Arena, West End Community Centre Arenas 1 and 2:
- Non-prime time: $141.90 + hst+ insurance
- Prime time: $270.30 + hst+ insurance
- Single skater: $32.47 + hst + insurance (per skater)
Sleeman Centre:
- Non-prime time: $182.60 + hst+ insurance
- Prime Time: $311.20 + hst+ insurance

Facility availability
Customers can view availability at our arenas up to 60 days in advance. If interested in a time/day that is showing as available, please email [email protected].
Sponsorship opportunities – public skates
Individuals or organizations can give back to their community while promoting their business by sponsoring a public skate. If interested, please reach out to [email protected].
One-off ice rentals
The City of Guelph offers ice rentals for customers who are looking to rent one time or on an occasional basis. Please note that a minimum of 72 hours is required for processing new or additional rental requests.

Seasonal ice rentals
The City of Guelph offers seasonal ice rentals for customers who are looking to rent five (5) or more times. Examples of seasonal ice rentals include a minor hockey team or an adult recreational league.

Tournaments and special events
Seasonal user groups may request to rent facility space to host a sporting tournament.
The City of Guelph offers facility space to be used to hold special events.
