Employment Survey

The City of Guelph Employment Survey is an annual in-person survey of business establishments in the city’s industrial, commercial, and institutional zones. The program objective is to build a robust, local business database that can inform economic development programming, growth planning, targeting connections to business support, facilitating outreach and engagement, and measuring economic trends.

EmployerOne Survey

The bi-annual EmployerOne survey, conducted by the Workforce Planning Board of Waterloo Wellington Dufferin (WPBWWD), gathers information from employers in the Waterloo Region, Dufferin, and Wellington counties. The EmployerOne 2024 Survey report summarizes the needs and challenges of 56 local employers in Guelph to attract and retain talent, fostering a stronger, more resilient economy.

Labour Force Survey

Employment trends serve as a crucial indicator of a community’s economic health. Fluctuations in employment over time can signify shifts in economic growth or decline across all sectors or in specific types. This report, therefore, plays a significant role in understanding the economic landscape of the Guelph Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) by presenting a comprehensive analysis of labour force trends.
