Guelph’s annual spring clean up

Clean and Green is Guelph’s annual spring community cleanup that occurs during the month of April. Each year, volunteers sign up to help clean select parks, trails and greenspaces around Guelph. We encourage families, friends, community organizations, businesses, and school groups to participate in this annual month-long event. Clean and Green helps to make our parks and neighbourhoods more beautiful, and protects our rivers, streams, drinking water and local wildlife.

Registration

Thanks for your interest in our spring 2026 Clean and Green community clean up!

Registration is now closed for the season. Thanks to everyone who helped us to keep our city clean this spring. We had a record number of participants in 2026 – over 2,000 people!

Registration for next year’s campaign will be posted in March 2027.

Safety tips

Please check out our safety tips and instructions before your group starts to collect litter. Once you have completed your clean up, don’t forget to report that your garbage is ready for collection using the Report a problem map.

Organize your own local parks clean up

Did you know that you can do your own parks clean up any time of year outside of our spring campaign and get free clean up supplies? Supplies may include garbage bags and gloves (cloth and nitrile). We encourage groups to bring their own reusable bags to collect their supplies.

Supplies are available for pick up from the front desk in any of the following City facilities year-round:

West End Community Centre
Victoria Road Recreation Centre
Evergreen Seniors Community Centre
Guelph Sports Dome
Service Guelph (City Hall)
