About the plans
With a pre-authorized payment plans, your tax payments will be automatically withdrawn from your bank account or financial institution according to the schedule you choose.
You can join a plan at any time during the year, as long as your taxes are paid up-to-date.
Due date plan
Property tax payments will be withdrawn from your account on the due dates at the end of February, April, June and September.
9-month plan
Property tax payments will be withdrawn from your account on the last business day of each month from January to September. This plan is a lot like arranging equal billing for utilities.
In June of each year, you will receive a tax notice. Changes in your property assessment or municipal tax rates will be reflected and your remaining monthly payments will be adjusted. Your new schedule of monthly payments for the following year will also be included.
11-month plan

How to register
- Make sure your property taxes are paid and up-to-date. If your taxes are in arrears we can arrange a monthly pre-authorized payment schedule. Please contact us for details as some restrictions may apply.
- Download the application to fill it out. Once complete you can print, scan and email, drop off or mail the application and a void cheque from the account you wish to use for your tax payments.
- We will contact you to confirm the details of your tax payment schedule, and to arrange any payments that must be paid upon registration.

To change or cancel your pre-authorized property tax payment plan, please contact us at least 10 days prior to the next scheduled withdrawal date. Written notice is required, either by email or dropped off at City Hall.
The Treasurer may cancel a pre-authorized property tax payment plan if two payments fail to be honoured within a given tax year. Any unpaid or overdue balance will be subject to late payment charges.
