Creating a more inclusive Guelph
The City is committed to building a community where everyone feels welcome, valued and supported. The Equity and Anti-Racism Action Plan (EARAP)is a key part of that commitment.
This plan provides a clear direction for how we embed equity into City services, decision-making and everyday work. It brings together our long-standing commitments from A United Vision: Guelph’s Community Plan, the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities and the City’s Future Guelph Strategic Plan.
Through this plan, the City is working to remove barriers and create opportunities for fairer outcomes for everyone in our community. Furthermore, this plan will help shape services to become more equitable, responsive and better aligned with the needs of Guelph’s growing and diverse population.
The EARAP will help guide the City’s application of the Equity Lens to ensure we stay focused on our shared goals. The plan is designed to evolve over time so we can continue to respond to the changing and evolving needs of our community.
