Get married with us! We offer civil marriage ceremonies at City Hall or a location of your choice. Civil ceremonies are performed by the City’s Marriage Officiant.
Ceremonies at City Hall in the Council Chambers take place on Thursdays and Fridays scheduled every half hour as follows:
- Thursdays – 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
- Fridays – 10:00 to 11:30am and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
We also work with you to accommodate requests for civil marriages performed outside of business hours (except Sunday) as well as at other locations. The marriage officiant will work with you to meet your needs and make this occasion one to remember for a lifetime.
At least two (2) witnesses are required to be present at every marriage in Ontario. If you require a municipal employee to act as your witness, an additional fee per witness will apply.
All fees are noted in the chart below and payable by cash, debit, or credit card at the ServiceGuelph counter in City Hall prior to your ceremony.
