Getting married at Guelph City Hall

Civil marriage/wedding ceremonies in City Council Chambers are available every 30 minutes on:

  • Thursdays from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.
  • Fridays from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Witnesses

At least two witnesses must be present during your ceremony. For ceremonies at City Hall, a City employee may act as a witness. Please see related fees in the table below.

Getting married at a different time or place

A City of Guelph marriage officiant can perform civil marriage ceremonies at other times and locations. Please contact us to discuss options for getting married at a different time or location.

We do offer civil marriage ceremonies on Saturdays.

We do not offer civil marriage ceremonies on Sundays.

Fees do not include HST. Please pay all required fees by cash, debit, or credit card at City Hall before your ceremony.
