Edinburgh Road North to 93 Speedvale Ave West
The City will be making improvements to the infrastructure of Speedvale Avenue West. The project will include replacement of sewer systems, watermains, and traffic lights at Westmount Road. These improvements will improve the quality of water and sewer systems to all residents in the area and supports the City’s long-term
Construction timeline
- 2023 – Phase one and phase two design
- Winter/Spring 2023 – Geotechnical work begins
- Winter 2023/2024 – Tender phase one
- Spring/Summer 2024 – Phase one construction
- Winter 2025 – Tender Phase two
- Spring/Summer 2025 – Phase two construction
Construction impacts
There will be impacts to traffic in the area, and Edinburgh Road will be closed for approximately six to eight weeks. Further details on road impacts will be provided once the detailed design is complete.
