  • Marriage licences and Civil Marriage Ceremonies

    Couples wishing to be married in Ontario must apply for a marriage licence. The licence is valid anywhere in Ontario.

    The City of Guelph offers Civil Marriage Ceremonies that are performed by a Marriage Officiant. The ceremonies take place on Thursday and Friday afternoons between 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 1 Carden St., Guelph.

  • Birth Registrations / Certificates

    Parents of children born in Guelph must register their child’s birth with the Office of the Registrar General.  Registration can be made either online or by mail.

    Applications for Birth Certificates may also be made online or by mail.
