City of Guelph launches Cultural Mapping Project

GUELPH, ON, April 24, 2012 – Celebrate the official launch of Guelph’s Cultural Mapping Project. Join members of Guelph’s cultural sector as they populate an online cultural database and unveil a giant interactive map to begin identifying Guelph’s cultural spaces, events, individuals, groups and creative enterprises. Guelph’s cultural mapping project is an initiative of the City of Guelph in partnership with the Guelph Chamber of Commerce and the Guelph Arts Council. It is funded by the Government of Ontario. The total project budget is $163,000. The Government of Ontario has contributed $70,920 through the Creative Communities Prosperity Fund. Project puts Guelph’s cultural sector on the map
