The study
The City of Guelph has initiated a Class Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed pedestrian bridge connecting Emma Street to Earl Street over the Speed River. A bridge in this location is recommended in the Guelph Trail Master Plan (2005) to provide a connection to the Downtown Trail. The EA study will determine if a pedestrian bridge is needed at this location and if so, the style of bridge to be constructed. The site location and extent of the study area are shown on the map.
