Trunk Sewer & Transmission Main Hanlon Crossing Project

About the Project

The 2023 Water and Wastewater Servicing Master Plan identified a need to increase capacity of the East Influent Trunk Sewer and to replace an existing watermain across Hanlon Expressway (Highway 6). This project includes the detailed design and construction of two trenchless (micro-tunnelling) crossings under Hanlon Expressway, one for the replacement of the existing watermain and one for the twinning of the East Influent Trunk sanitary sewer, including the connections to existing infrastructure on either side. This project will improve the quality of water and sewer systems for residents and businesses in the area, now and into the future.
