Donate to the Tree Fund

You can donate to the City’s tree fund to support more tree planting activities and programs. Choose a one-time or monthly donation as a gift or memorial.

  • $10 minimum donation
  • Recipient gets an e-card
  • $500+ donations get a certificate, suitable for framing
  • Donation can be used for a specific park (as listed on the donation page)
  • Receive a tax receipt

In-kind donations

You can also donate goods and services to our parks and urban forest.

Personal information on these forms is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act, R.S.O. 1980, c. 302 (as amended), and will be used by City staff to complete the request and contact the applicant if necessary. Commemorative bench program

The City’s commemorative tree program has been discontinued, but commemorative benches are still available to be dedicated to loved ones, businesses or community groups.

Program information

  • There are a limited number of benches installed each year. All benches are steel.
  • Benches are approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Benches are installed in the Spring or Fall.
  • Cost of each bench is $4915.50 ($4350 plus HST).

How to apply for a commemorative bench

To apply for a commemorative bench at a City park, trail, or greenspace, please contact [email protected] One of our staff members will provide you with an application form.
