Doors Open Guelph is back! After a three-year hiatus, the doors to some of Guelph’s most architecturally, historically, and culturally significant sites will open to the public Saturday, April 29, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for free guided tours, interactive experiences, and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
The following sites have been confirmed for Doors Open Guelph 2023:
- Guelph Water Works
- Sikh Society Gurdwara
- Muslim Society Mosque
- Sleeman Breweries
- Spring Mill Distillery
- Locomotive 6167 and Guelph Historical Railway Association Caboose
- Dominion Public Building
- Petrie Building
- The Sovereign
- Guelph Research and Development Centre (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada) – CANCELLED
- Guelph’s Kettle Lakes

Special Tours
Walking Tour of Guelph’s Kettle Lakes with the Guelph Hiking Trail Club
The Guelph Hiking Trail Club will short, guided hikes regularly on-demand from 9:30am to 3:30 pm. Tours begin at the south end of the parking lot for Pearson Park (to the rear of Bishop Macdonell High School).
Bike Tours with the Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation
Guelph Coalition for Active Transportation (GCAT) will offer guided bike tours of three clusters of sites:
- The Downtown Walking tour, featuring:
- Dominion Public Building
- Petrie Building
- Spring Mill Distillery
- The Central Cycling tour, featuring:
- Guelph Research and Development Centre (Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada)
- Muslim Society Mosque
- Guelph Waterworks Pumping Station Engine House
- The South End Cycling tour, featuring:
- Sleeman Breweries
- GHTC tour of the Kettle Lakes
- Sikh Society Gurdwara
Each tour is offered once starting at 10 am at a predetermined start location, with a tour group capacity of approximately 20 people.
