Instructions to help sign up for PAP

You Can Sign up for Pre-Authorized Payments at Any Time.

Automatic payments usually start with your next bill—If you’ve already received a bill, your automatic payments may not start in time for that bill.

Option 1: Pay your current bill now
Pay your bill before the due date using another method. Your automatic payments will start with your next bill.

Option 2: Wait and pay both bills together
You can choose to wait and have both your current and next bill withdrawn together when your automatic payments begin. No late fee will be charged.

Good to know: The water billing portal may show your current bill as overdue until your automatic payments start. This is expected, and no action is required.

Pay Through Your Bank or Financial Institution

Online as a new payee through your financial institution:

  • Please use your full 18-digit account number, including all zero’s when adding your account to online banking.
  • Payee names vary by bank or credit union and may not appear exactly as “City of Guelph Water.” Search your institution’s payee list using keywords such as “Guelph Water” and select the payee that references City of Guelph Water. If you cannot find a payee, contact your financial institution for assistance.

In-person: Bring your new water bill to your bank.
