Construction notice: Hanlon Creek Dog Park – Retaining Wall Construction

Notice date: November 3, 2026

What’s happening:

We’re building a small retaining wall near the bridge and culvert in Hanlon Creek Dog Park.

Why:

Recent weather events washed away part of the trail in Hanlon Creek Dog Park and City staff reshaped the trail to stabilize the damaged area. The final step of the repair involves installing a stone retaining wall near the bridge and culvert to help prevent future damage.

When:

Construction will start around November 5 and is expected to wrap up by November 11.

During construction:

Hanlon Creek Dog Park and the trail will stay open during construction. Fencing will separate the work area from the rest of the park and may temporarily narrow the trail near the work area. Please keep your dog on a leash near the construction area to help keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your patience while we complete this important work.
