Guelph Transit Notice: September 2026 Service Updates

Guelph, Ont., August 27, 2026 – Starting on September 6, Guelph Transit will be making service updates to several routes.

Returning service enhancements

University Routes returning:

• 50 U, 52 U, 56 U, 58 U

Route 5 Service Improvements Return:

• Weekday service every 15 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., every 30 minutes from 5:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.
• Saturday service every 20 minutes from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., every 30 minutes from 5:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.

Route 99 Service Improvements Return

• Route 99 will return to operating every 9 minutes from Clair to Guelph Central Station only.

New services and route enhancements

NEW Route 11 Enhancement:

• Monday to Friday: Every 20 minutes 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., every 30 minutes 5:45 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 12:15 a.m.
• Saturday: Every 30 minutes, 5:45 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.
• Sunday: Every 30 minutes, 9:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.

NEW Route 99 Express Service:

• A Route 99 express bus will be added between University Centre and Guelph Central Station.
• The service will be branded as 99N Mainline Direct (University Centre to Guelph Central Station only) or 99S Mainline Direct (Guelph Central Station to University Centre only).
• Monday to Friday: Every 30 minutes, 12:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
• 0:00 and 0:30 departures from Guelph Central Station.
• 0:15 and 0:45 departures from University Centre.
• No pick-ups/ drop-offs along the route (only pick-ups/drop-offs at terminals).

Route and schedule changes

Route 20 Routing and Schedule Change:

• Route 20 will remain on the current route until further notice.
• Route 20 will be switching to Platform 22 at Guelph Central Station.

Route structure changes

Routes 10 and 12:

• Route 10 will continue as Route 10 upon arrival at Guelph Central Station. Similarly, route 12 will continue as Route 12 upon arrival at Guelph Central Station.
• This means that if you get off route 10 and want to continue your journey on route 12, please get off at Guelph Central Station and transfer to the route 12 bus.
• If you are taking the route 12 bus and want to continue your journey on the route 10 bus, please get off at Guelph Central Station and transfer to the route 10 bus.
• Route 12 will be switching to Platform 1 at Guelph Central Station.
