The City has granted Pomerleau an exemption from the City’s Noise Control Bylaw from
November 2, 2026 to May 30, 2027 at the University of Guelph – 78 College Avenue Student
Residence. The exemption allows for noise associated with construction activities for the
Student Residence project, including excavation, hoisting operations, material deliveries,
loading and unloading activities, operation of construction equipment and site vehicles, and
other general construction-related activities. Noise sources may include excavators, loaders,
cranes, generators, concrete pumps, trucks, tower crane operations, compactors, and other
equipment required to complete the work.
