Construction notice: Water service installation at 148 Mary Street

Notice Update: September 8, 2026

What’s happening:

GOETZ Construction Ltd. is ​removing road asphalt, curb, and boulevard to install a new water and sanitary service. All surfaces will be restored back to their original condition​.

Why:

This project supports the construction of a new development at 148 Mary Street. For more information about the development, please contact [email protected].

When:

Work is expected to start on or about Monday, September 14, 2026, and take about two (2) weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Changes during construction

Traffic lanes: Mary Street will be closed to through traffic from Caledonia Street and the East intersection with Harcourt Drive. Local traffic will be permitted along Mary Street during construction, however, there will be no through access at 148 Mary Street.
Sidewalks: No changes.
Guelph Transit: No changes.
Waste collection: No changes.
Private driveway access: Every effort will be made to maintain access to driveways in the construction areaduring working hours (7 a.m. – 6 p.m.). Construction activities and equipment movement may temporarily impact access to private property.
