The City has granted the University of Guelph an exemption from the City’s Noise Control Bylaw on September 5, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:40 p.m. and September 6, 2026, from 4:15 p.m. to 10:40 p.m. for Orientation Week celebrations including two free outdoor shows on Johnston Green off Gordon Street, Guelph, Ontario. The exemption allows for noise from amplified music and noise from crowds.
