Starting today, visitors can take advantage of our new “3-for-free” parking promotion, making it even easier to shop, dine, and explore Downtown Guelph. This initiative, in partnership with the Downtown Guelph Business Association (DGBA), offers 3-hours free in select areas Downtown through October.
Where to get 3-hours free parking:
Macdonell Lot
- Free parking is increasing from 2 hours to 3 hours, all day, every day.
Market Parkade
- Enjoy 3 hours of free parking every Thursday and Friday.
Following the end of the promotion on October 31, 2026:
- Macdonell Lot will return to 2 hours free, and
- Market Parkade will return to regular parking rates.
How to claim:
To receive free parking through the 3-for-free promotion, visitors must register their vehicle after parking using either:
- The HONK Mobile app, or
- The on-site pay station.
Need more time? Visitors using the HONK Mobile app can easily extend their stay through the app – no need to go back to the car.
Important reminders:
- Event parking rates apply during Guelph Storm games.
- Visitors can enjoy 3-hours free in the mentioned lots, as well as 2-hours on-street once per day.
