Cedarvale Avenue Park Master Plan
Construction of Cedarvale Avenue Park
We are excited to share that construction is expected to start week of June 10, weather permitting. Between now and then, we will continue to keep you up to date on the progress here on the project page and on Facebook and Twitter.
Construction on the park was delayed due to technical and scheduling issues. We would like to assure you that creating Cedarvale Avenue Park for your entire neighbourhood is one of our top priorities for 2019.
What we heard during engagement
In late 2017, your neighbourhood provided comments and voted on two park concept plans. More residents voted for Concept B: Natural Slopes. As a result, the preferred concept plan was based on that concept. Your input was used to refine the concept plan and was considered in the selection of park equipment in the final master plan.
Phase one: Community engagement summary – January 2018
During the second phase of engagement, feedback was generally positive. Concerns were raised regarding elements that cannot be accommodated due to overall park grade and size constraints or that were already supported in the phase one of community engagement.
Phase two: Community engagement summary – March 2018
