About the Eastview Bike Park
Bike parks are growing in popularity as a place to grow and learn new skills. We’ve selected Eastview Park as the ideal place for a bike park.
A concept design was developed in 2019 and includes:
- Asphalt pump track (phase 1)
- Jump lines (phase 2)
- Technical trail and supplementary trail (phase 3)
The asphalt pump track (phase 1) was installed in 2025. Construction of future phases has not been scheduled at this time.
What is a bike park and pump track?
A bike park is a purpose-built facility for bicycles of all types (BMX, mountain, dirt jump, recumbent). They are designed to give riders of all ages and skill levels the ability to get outdoors and safely improve their bike riding skills. A bike park may include pump tracks, progressive jumps, skills courses trails and other features.
A pump track is a looped track with berms, rollers and turns—it’s designed for riders to use their body to ‘pump’ and move with little pedaling. Our pump track is for all ages and skill levels. It provides a safe space to practice skills, get exercise and meet other people in our community.
Bike Park project history
With bike parks becoming a popular community feature, Eastview Community Park was identified as a suitable location for one in Guelph. We engaged the community, and a multi-phase concept design was developed in 2019. Phase one, an asphalt pump track, was installed throughout 2024-25. There are no established timelines for future phases of the bike park.
