Just because it’s winter, doesn’t mean our recreational trails are hibernating. Unlike sidewalks, we’re not required to clear our recreational trails. We do it because our community benefits from it. So far, we maintain 25 kilometres of recreational trails in winter after five centimetres of snowfall. Use the map below to help plan your route!

City facilities

From November until April, we provide winter maintenance for the following City facilities:

  • City Hall and Market Square
  • Victoria Road Recreation Centre
  • West End Community Centre
  • River Run Centre
  • Evergreen Seniors Community Centre
  • Guelph Museums
  • Arenas (Exhibition and Centennial)
  • Farmers’ Market
  • Park parking lots (Riverside Park, Exhibition Park, etc.)
  • Public stairs
