Pay-by-phone is a fast and easy way to start and extend parking payments by a mobile phone application or logging in online.
This new payment option will be available the week of November 23 at these parking lots:
- Baker Street
- Wyndham Street
- Macdonell Street
- Wilson Street
How to pay by smart phone
- download the MacKay Pay application from the App Store™ or Google Play™ or go to mackaypay.com and create your account
- enter the zone number of the parking lot
- enter your licence plate number, length of stay and credit card payment

Fee
A 40 cent fee applies for starting a pay-by-phone parking session, in addition to the regular hourly parking rate. The fee doesn’t apply to extend your existing parking session.

You will receive a text message reminder five minutes before your parking session expires.

How will a Bylaw Enforcement Officer know if I’ve paid by phone?
Bylaw Enforcement Officers have an up-to-date list of paid vehicles at each lot.
Can I pay for my parking in advance?
Yes, any time after 6 p.m. for the next day.
Can I get a receipt?
Yes. A list of all your parking payments is available by logging into your Mackay Pay account. Alternatively, you can select the email receipt option with each individual transaction.
Do text message reminders cost extra?
No. (Additional charges may apply depending on your mobile phone plan. You can call your service provider if you’re unsure.)
