Parking tickets

The Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General regulates tickets and fines.

Parking fines can be paid in person, by mail or online

In person

Parking office

  • City Hall, 1 Carden Street
  • Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

ServiceGuelph

  • Regular Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Summer Hours (July and August): Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Closed on statutory holidays and Remembrance Day

Note: Wait times are always shorter mid-month. Save yourself time by avoiding the end-of-month lineup.

Payments accepted in cash, cheque, debit, money order, Visa and MasterCard.
Drop boxes are available for your convenience at City Hall:
  • During office hours: Inside the main doors by the ServiceGuelph counter
  • After-hours: Outside on the stone wall just west of the main doors towards the Wilson Street Parking Lot

Payments accepted in cash, cheque, debit, money order, Visa and MasterCard.

Online

Payments are accepted online using a Visa or MasterCard. A convenience fee of $2.50 is applied to every transaction.

If you feel you have received a ticket in error or wish to review a ticket for compassionate reasons, you may submit a parking ticket review request to staff.

Report a concern about a ticket

You also have the right to challenge your parking ticket in court.  To request a trial for a parking ticket please complete Option 2 on the back of the ticket.  If you have misplaced your parking ticket please complete the Notice of Intention to Appear.
