2017 to 2018
Repair work at the West Parkade is complete and the parkade reopens October 9, 2018.
The West Parkade repair work was done in two phases:
- Phase 1, summer 2017 to winter 2018: Floors 5 and 6 closure.
- Phase 2, spring 2018 to fall 2018: full parkade closure.
The spring 2018 closure resulted in the loss of 531 parking spaces. Of those, 425 are used by permit holders and 106 are for daily, causal users.
The City has worked with permit holders, the Downtown Advisory Committee, Downtown Guelph Business Association and management for the Old Quebec Street Shoppes to find parking alternatives for the duration of the full parkade closure.

Periphery parking available until November 30
The City has temporarily lifted parking restrictions to allow for all day parking on some residential streets around the downtown core. This change will remain in place until November 30, 2018.
The following map shows which streets in the periphery people may park on, and indicates which streets allow for parking on a temporary basis.
