The project involves the reconstruction of Stone Road East between Village Green Drive and Victoria Road South including installation of storm sewer, curb and gutter, sidewalk and street lighting. The reconstruction will widen Stone Road East to provide two vehicle lanes and one bicycle lane in each direction.
Construction timeline and traffic impacts
Reconstruction is expected to start on June 23, 2014 and take until late May 2015 to complete. Reconstruction will be completed in stages to minimize impact on through traffic. A two week closure to through traffic will be required at the start of the reconstruction.

Traffic detour and property access
Through traffic will be detoured along Victoria Road South, Arkell Road and Gordon Street during the initial road closure. Access to adjacent properties will be maintained as best as possible throughout the reconstruction.
OZA Inspections may contact you to arrange an interior/exterior inspection of any buildings on your property that are adjacent to the reconstruction area. This inspection is a proactive measure intended to assess whether or not a property has any existing damage. This information will be used to determine the contractor’s responsibility in the unlikely event of property damage during the reconstruction.
