The City of Guelph is working to reconstruct Manitoba Street from Ontario Street to Huron Street. Work includes the installation of sanitary and storm sewer pipes, water pipes, curb, gutter and sidewalks, and final repaving.
Updated construction timeline
Construction began in April 2021 and is expected to be completed in September 2021.
Manitoba Street will be closed from Ontario Street to Huron Street in both directions with limited local access. There will be no on-street parking during the project.
All construction notices, including timing updates and traffic changes, will be posted at guelph.ca/construction and in the latest updates section below.
Public meetings
The City hosts open houses to provide detailed project information to interested stakeholders. Open house notices are posted in the latest updates section below. Open house materials will be available online following the event. Please note that the open house design drawing is 90% complete, and may not exactly reflect the final design that will be constructed.
