Winter Woodland Theatre Contest and Draw: Rules and regulations

Entry in the contest constitutes acceptance of these contest rules and regulations.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for this contest, entrants must be 18 years of age or older and a legal resident of the province of Ontario.

How to enter

To enter this contest, complete the Winter Woodland Theatre quiz. Those answering all nine questions correctly will be entered into a draw to win a prize.

Those wishing to complete a paper version of the quiz, or who require an alternate format, may contact [email protected].

No purchase is necessary to enter this contest. If you do not wish to participate in the quiz, you may still enter this contest by submitting the contact information indicated below to [email protected] or by mail to Culture, City Hall, 1 Carden Street, Guelph, ON, N1H 3A1.

Every entrant must provide their first and last name, email address and postal code.

Limit of one (1) entry per person.

Contest period

Online or email entries must be submitted by March 31, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. Mailed entries must be postmarked by March 31, 2021.

Disqualification

The City may disqualify any entry that:

  1. Is incomplete, illegible, damaged or irregular;
  2. Was submitted by illicit means; or
  3. Does not conform with or satisfy these rules and regulations.

Limitation of liability

The City will not be responsible for any lost, stolen, delayed, damaged, misdirected, late or destroyed entries or for any typographical, printing, production, distribution, advertising or other errors or omissions with respect to this contest. The City may terminate this contest at any time without notice.

Prizes

Five prizes are available to be won:

Prize Pack #1 (Approximate value: $250)

  • Two (2) Hawksley Workman and Sarah Slean tickets for Friday, February 25, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. at River Run Centre ($100).
  • Guelph Little Theatre t-shirt ($25) and facemask ($10).
  • Two (2) Royal City Musical Productions Inc. (RCMPi) fall show tickets. Date to be determined. ($70) and an RCMPi tote bag ($20).
  • Downtown Theatre Project t-shirt ($25)

Prize Pack #2 (Approximate value: $200)

  • Guelph Little Theatre facemask ($10).
  • Two (2) Royal City Musical Productions Inc. (RCMPi) fall show tickets, date to be determined ($70); a RCMPi t-shirt ($25); and a RCMPi tote bag ($20).
  • Two (2) Downtown Theatre Project tickets; and a Downtown Theatre Project t-shirt ($25)

Prize Pack #3 (Approximate value: $150)

  • Two (2) Guelph Little Theatre Swordfish tickets, date to be determined ($70); and a Guelph Little Theatre facemask ($10).
  • Royal City Musical Productions Inc. t-shirt ($25) and tote bag ($20).
  • Downtown Theatre Project t-shirt ($25).

Prize Pack $4 (Approximate value: $130)

  • Two (2) McCrae House Backyard Theatre tickets, Thursday to Saturday, July 8-17, 2021 ($50).
  • Guelph Little Theatre t-shirt ($25) and facemask ($10).

Prize Pack #5 (Approximate value: $130)

  • Two (2) McCrae House Backyard Theatre tickets, Thursday to Saturday, July 8-17, 2021 ($50).

(Total approximate retail value of prizes is $860.) The prizes must be accepted as awarded and are non-redeemable for any cash value.

Winner selection

Chances of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.

Prizes will be awarded by a random draw from eligible entries on April 7, 2021.

Each entrant whose entry is drawn must answer a skill testing question, and sign a waiver and release, provided by the City, in advance of, and as a condition of, receiving the prize. If the prize is not claimed within ten (10) business days after the draw, another random drawing will be made and another ten (10) business days will be allowed for that prize to be claimed.

The City is collecting personal information about entrants for the purpose of administering this contest. No further informational or marketing communications will be sent to an entrant as a result of entering this contest.
