2017 RBC Market Mornings Artist – Sarah Mousseau

RBC Market Morning: Seascapes

Local mixed-media artist, Sarah Mousseau, was the City’s 2017 RBC Market Mornings Artist.

She led four outdoor art-making activities that were open and free to the public during the month of August at Guelph Farmers’ Market.

The project, titled “Seascapes,” invited the community to help create whimsical sea creatures with re-purposed materials which were then installed in the trees and greenspace in front of the Farmers’ Market over Culture Days weekend, September 29 – October 1.

The final installation created a magical underwater garden where octopus tentacles rose up through the ground, crustaceans crawled through the grass, schools of fish fluttered in the breeze, and colourful coral crawled up the trunks of the trees.
