North Guelph Community Tree and Wildflower Planting

May 26 at 9:30 am to 1:00 pm

Join us as we plant native trees and wildflowers to enhance one of Guelph’s neighbourhood stormwater management ponds and learn about how green infrastructure works.

Participating high school students can earn credit towards their community involvement hours.

Trees for Guelph will also be offering their “Buckthorn Bounty Program” at this event. Buckthorn is an invasive shrub/tree that spreads rapidly blocking out light and overcrowding native species. If you have removed one of these plants from your property and you bring in the root system to Trees for Guelph at this event as proof that it’s been removed, they will provide you with an indigenous shrub or tree to take home to replace it.

Register before May 23 to be entered to win a rain barrel or a native flower garden kit!
