About Toasty Toes Guelph
Toasty Toes was started in Waterloo Region in 2013 by Sharon Gilroy-Dreher. 2018 marks the first Toasty Toes Guelph (@toastytoes_Gue) campaign, led by Allison Mitchell. This initiative collects and distributes new, warm socks to those experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness in local communities.
The campaign kicked off on World Homeless Day, October 10, and runs until November 10, 2018, with socks being distributed in November and December. The Mayor’s Tree Lighting is a special addition to this year’s campaign.
