Community Gardens Festival

September 29 at 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm

All are welcome to this festival. There will be lots of networking opportunities to meet fellow fruit and vegetable gardeners who participate in one of over 20 community gardens in the city.
Those new to community gardening can learn about how to get involved next year!

Activities

  • Gardening and food-themed workshops. This will include apple cider making, heritage seed saving, beekeeping and more!
  • Children’s activities.
  • Free food.
  • Make a community salsa. Bring any extra produce from your garden to contribute to making a large batch of community salsa and take some home!
  • Weirdest vegetable contest. Prizes will be given for the weirdest looking vegetable that you have grown in your garden this year. Bring a picture of it or the real thing!
