  • The tender process for the new library, parkade and public squares was initiated at the end of Q1 and completed in early Q2.
  • The sub-trade tender results were within budget.
  • The groundbreaking for the library took place in Q2 and construction for the library and parkade began in late Q2.
  • Construction will increase in Q3, starting with shoring and excavation. This work will continue until the end of 2023.
  • Construction is expected to take three years and will be completed in 2026.
  • The 2023 right-of-way scope of work along Baker Street, Park Lane and Chapel Lane, and associated servicing has been moved out of the Baker District portfolio and is being treated as a typical project to upgrade water and sewer pipes. This work is expected to be finished Q4 2023.
