Golden Guelph Gallery

Golden Guelph

Mitchell reached out to the community through summer and fall 2020 to collect memories of Guelph. Individuals submitted over 50 photos of places, people or events from Guelph’s past, along with a description of its significance. Twenty photos were selected by the artist to be silkscreened onto t-shirts to honour the memories, and allow them to live on and move through the world in a new way.

The submitting individuals were invited to an interview with the artist to share the details of their memory. Recorded interviews of stories with community members, along with videos of the artistic process, and photographs of participants, t-shirts and drawings are available by clicking on the image or drawing below.

To inquire about acquiring a custom silkscreened t-shirt from this project, please contact the artist directly at [email protected].
