What’s happening:
The road surface will be removed and replaced to install new sanitary and water services to 107-109 Waterloo Avenue.
Why:
Service upgrades are approved under a building permit at 107-109 Waterloo Avenue.
When:
Construction work is expected to start on or about Monday, December 8, and we expect all work to be completed by December 19 (weather permitting).
Changes during construction:
Traffic lanes: Waterloo Avenue will be closed between Yorkshire Street South and Glasgow Street South. Local traffic will be permitted on Waterloo Avenue, however; there will be no through traffic at 107-109 Waterloo Avenue. Traffic will be detoured along Gordon Street, Wellington Street West and Edinburgh Road South.
Sidewalks: The north sidewalk on Waterloo Avenue will be closed, between Yorkshire Street South and Dublin Street South.
Guelph Transit: Guelph Transit route 9 will be temporarily detoured during construction. Visit guelphtransit.ca for details.
Waste collection: No changes.
Private driveway access: Construction may temporarily impact access to private property; however, the contractor will make residents aware if this is necessary.
