Brockville Avenue on-street parking survey

November 2022 – On-Street Parking Survey

The City’s Transportation Engineering department has received a public request to review on-street parking on Brockville Avenue between York Road and Bell Avenue. The request was to open up on-street parking between York Road and approximately #23 Brockville Avenue on the east side.

The City conducted an investigation of the area and determined there was enough available road width to permit on-street parking on one side of the street while still maintaining two-way traffic and access for emergency vehicles.

To address this request the City is considering removing the existing No Parking Anytime restriction on the east side of the roadway between York Road and approximately #23 Brockville Avenue. A 15 metre No Parking Anytime restriction would be maintained at the York Road intersection to keep the intersection sightlines clear for drivers and pedestrians.
